Job Description Insight Global is seeking a senior level oracle conversion/extract developer to join the team of one of their top clients in the insurance space. As part of a major Oracle Fusion ERP implementation, the Oracle Conversion/Extract Developer will lead the effort to extract, transform, and load financial and operational data from legacy systems—including Epic—into Oracle Fusion. This role is central to the organization's M&A account merges and will work closely with the BI team, data engineering, and application administrators to ensure seamless backend integration. The developer will write advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripts to extract and transform data, applying cleansing and validation logic to meet the target system’s requirements. A strong understanding of Oracle database architecture is essential, including data types, features, and compatibility mapping with Snowflake, which serves as the organization’s data strategy platform. The role demands hands-on ETL development, deep data mapping expertise, and coordination across teams to ensure the general ledger and other financial data are accurately migrated. While implementation experience is not a strict requirement, the ability to operate in a complex, multi-system environment and maintain high data integrity is critical. This is a high-impact role that will help define how financial data flows into Oracle Fusion and supports long-term scalability. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience in Oracle data conversion and extract development 5+ years and Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills. Scripting, performance tuning, etc Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture and data types Hands on experience with Snowflake, including data mapping and compatibility resolution Proven ETL development experience, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation Ability to collaborate with BI teams, data engineers, and application admins Experience in similar Oracle Fusion ERP implementations from ground up Experience integrating data from Epic into Oracle systems Background in complex accounting systems and general ledger migrations
