The Medical Assistant is a vital member of the ProHEALTH care delivery team. This position has the responsibility of preparing exam rooms for patients, measuring vital signs, performing approved laboratory tests, assisting clinicians with patient care, and performing a variety of administrative tasks. The MA at ProHEALTH utilizes a variety of clinical and clerical skills to deliver excellent patient experiences.

Schedule: Sunday 7a-3p , Thursday 7a-10p, Friday 2p-10p

Candidate must be Flexible with their Schedule

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepares exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available
Greets patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork
Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner
Assists and accompanies patients to exam rooms
Interviews patients and records information into the medical record
Measures, collects, and records patient vital signs 
Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests
Displays proficient phlebotomy practices
Prepares specimens for transportation to the lab
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction
Places follow-up phone calls to patients
Performs other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

Proven solid computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office - MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
Must be able to work a 15 hour shift on a Friday OR Saturday weekly Medical Assistant Certification

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Phlebotomy Certification
1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.)
Experience with fingersticks for CBC testing
EPIC EMR software experience
Ability to speak Spanish

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $33,280 to $57,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
