About the role

As digital content becomes an increasingly important part of Boots Opticians' marketing and customer experience strategy, this role leads the content, creative and digital experience team within the Opticians Customer & Commercial function.

Boots Opticians is on an exciting journey to develop, launch, maintain and evolve a new online, cross-channel Digital experience which positions Boots Opticians as a leader in the High Street Optical sector in the UK. Our goal is to develop new digital experiences based around high-quality content that position Boots Opticians as a leading provider of clinical expertise, innovative eye health services and premium eyewear products.

As customers become increasingly comfortable with engaging with conversational and generative AI search platforms and engage with brands across a broad mix of channels, a strong focus on creating findable content with strong authority and clear calls to action is more important than ever.

 

Key responsibilities

We're looking for a creative and data-driven experience manager to join our team as we embark on our transformation journey. The experience manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital content and engagement strategy for Boots Opticians ensuring it aligns with our brand, resonates with our customers, and drives engagement and consistency across the customer journey.

You'll be:

Creating and executing a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our digital strategy, brand identity, audience needs and clinical compliance

·Growing a team of content, creative and experience design specialists to deliver to deliver high-quality content assets and build SEO optimised, action-focused customer journeys, category pages, long-form content and other multi-purpose content assets for use across digital channels including social media, affiliates and partners

Passionate about user-centred design principles, accessibility and collaborating with a broad mix of teams to support our overarching brand and marketing strategy

Driven to ensure that every customer that interacts with us is better for it

You'll have strong, demonstrable experience in digital content management, ideally in a healthcare or regulated context; strong understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to optimise content for organic traffic generation and an in-depth understanding of how content influences each stage of the customer buying journey, as well as the ability to hire and inspire a growing team.
