Measure patients for interpupillary distance and segment heights. Assist patients in choosing eyeglass frames and lenses, to best suit their needs and prescription requirements. Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork for eyeglass orders and insurance claims. Perform minor repairs, such as frame realignments and replacing broken screws. Greet patients and always maintain a positive attitude. Required to travel to the Brighton location based on staffing needs. **Required Qualifications*** + A training course from a community college or equivalent training program is necessary + Certification by the American Board of Opticianry or certification eligible + Skilled in frame styling, adjusting, and minor frame repairs + Three years of experience as a dispensing optician **Desired Qualifications*** + ABO certified + Adept at dispensing eyewear for children + Proficiency utilizing Officemate (point of sale software) **Work Schedule** Monday-Friday with some evening and weekends possible. **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
