As part of this group, in the system transmission monitoring team, you collaborate closely with key stakeholders including EUV source functions, optical column (system transmission and optics life time cluster), system engineering, marketing, and customers. We are an energetic, dynamic, and international team, supported by strong supplier partnerships and customer centric mindset, working at the front line of lithographic innovation.

As an Optical Engineer in the system transmission monitoring team, you will:
Take ownership of a project deliverable and drive it to completion, including documentation, specification, qualification, integration, and issue resolution.
Align with team members on technical content, scope, planning, and progress.
Collaborate across disciplines and departments such as systems engineering, marketing, and customer support.
Acquire and apply knowledge on the relationship between optical hardware and imaging performance to support customer use case analysis and optimization.
Contribute to the development, specification, and integration of new optical solutions for EUV projection modules.
Analyze data and physical phenomena to troubleshoot and resolve design and performance issues.
Work in a multidisciplinary project environment with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Education and experienceMSc or PhD in Engineering or Physics with knowledge of optical systems.
3+ years of work experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams is essential.
SkillsAffinity with working a multidisciplinary environment related to complex systems.
Contributions to optical systems, their performance qualification and applications of optical systems is preferred.
Ability to think on a functional level and in design details.
Ability to integrate and troubleshoot functions in complex systems.
Resilient under pressure and capable of handling escalations.
Excellent communicational skills.
Team player with ability to build network towards other parts of the ASML organization.
Self-propelling, showing initiative and drive, pragmatic attitude.
Experience with the ASML product development way of working is a plus.
Knowledge and practice in MATLAB and/or Python is highly recommended.
Ability to write scripts and to discuss solutions and issues with SW engineers and modelers is a plus.
