Each year we support over 5,000 Floridians in finding gainful employment leading to better outcomes for families, communities and the Florida economy. This position serves as an assistant to the Communications Director and staff assistant to Communication Liaisons across the state. You’ll provide administrative support to your colleagues for all facets of coordinating and reporting communications and outreach activities. Remote work is not available for this position, but flexible scheduling is. Job Duties This position requires the employee to work with computers, process information, conduct research, prepare shipments, maintain records and establish/maintain professional relationships. Tasks include: + Ordering office supplies and outreach materials as requested. + Compiling shipments for area and unit offices. + Monitoring payments. + Operating general office equipment to scan, copy, fax or print materials. + Organizing and maintaining files/records. + Speaking with vendors via email or phone to verify the status of orders and/or clarify order specifications. + Communicating with field liaisons on projects and initiatives. + Contributing to division publications by writing, editing or coordinating content. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities A qualified candidate would be able to: + Send information, materials or documentation via email. + Organize and maintain documentation and records. + Prepare documentation for transactions in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. + Keep track of daily activities and assignments. + Conduct inventories of products or materials. + Obtain information about goods or services. + Work independently and communicate effectively. + Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. + Determine work priorities and ensure completion of assignments. Qualifications + High School Diploma or Equivalent. + 1 or more years of office, data entry or customer service experience. + College education from an accredited institution can substitute or vocational training can substitute for experience. + Strong organizational skills.
