**Job Summary:**
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1. Works with Manager/Supervisor in the development and implementation of department policies, systems and processes that promote quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction within the office.
2. Ability to communicate with Manager/Supervisor regarding staffing issues or employee concerns.
3. Communicating with staff regarding scheduling changes via email, text, or phone call.
4. Maintains confidentiality regarding all business and clinical operations.
5. Strong knowledge of vision and medical billing practices.
6. Helps answer clarifying questions with patients regarding medication instructions, treatments, and diagnoses. Answer patient questions and follow up with patient as needed.
7. In conjunction with Manager, directs and oversees responsibilities and duties of department to assure productivity, efficiency, and service.
8. Communicate directly with providers about their schedules and clinical operational needs.
9. Day-to-day customer service and addressing patient specific concerns or issues that may arise.
10. Maintains fair and equitable staff schedules, which include weekly schedules and late day rotations, while avoiding OT if possible.
11. Oversees training of new staff in their specific assignments, as well as ongoing training, educating, and mentoring of other staff.
12. Responsible for triaging patients, clinical scheduling, imaging, and process improvements. Assist technical staff when needed.
13. Maintain all room stock necessary to perform exams, as well as the expiration date of exam room medications and supplies. Request supplies to be ordered for patient care, and/or place supply and medication orders.
14. Enter facility, IT, and Trimedx tickets as needed.
15. Perform equipment calibration as necessary.
16. Assists with maintaining clinical logs and clinical compliance.
17. Bridging concerns to management from providers and staff.
18. Able to manage multiple different projects simultaneously.
19. Responsible for all duties assigned to a registered ophthalmic technician, and all other duties as assigned.
20. Supports clinical and non-clinical functions as able and directed by leadership.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education** : High School graduate or its equivalent. COA certification through JCAHPO.
**Skills** : Working knowledge of Medical Terminology. Demonstrate advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Products). Able to promote a strong commitment towards achieving outstanding internal and external customer satisfaction and superior patient experience. Must be able to understand directions (written and verbal), communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate good judgment in a fast-paced environment. Must be fair and equitable among all staff. Needs to be able to assist in clinic when staffing requires.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
**Personal Protective Equipment:** Masking, gloves and safety eyewear when needed.
**Physical Demands:** Must be able to move about the practice/department between workstations. Must be able to demonstrate good judgement in a face paced environment. Must be able to occasionally push or lift medium to heavy equipment, supplies and patients.
