Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in a busy eye care surgery center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking patient medical histories, documenting symptoms, and assisting physicians with various ophthalmic procedures.

ResponsibilitiesTake patient medical histories and document symptoms accurately.Conduct visual acuity tests and measure intraocular pressure using tonometry.Perform Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and fundus photography.Assist in fluorescein angiography procedures.Support physicians during minor surgical procedures and injections.Prepare exam rooms and maintain ophthalmic instruments.Educate patients on procedures and post-treatment care.Ensure accurate and confidential documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.Essential SkillsExperience working in an ophthalmology office.Strong patient care skills.Proficiency in handling medical records and documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsNo certification or license required.Work Environment

The role is based in a busy eye care surgery center with three locations: Waterford, Norwich, and Guilford. The candidate must be willing to float between locations, spending two days a week in Waterford, two days in Norwich, and one day in Guilford.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
