Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for driving and operating Low bed Trucks and carrying out all duties associated with Low bed Truck operations in Mining Department.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: 

•    Safely loading, transporting, offloading mining equipment and machinery to various locations within the mine.
•    Operating, winches, chains and straps and secure the equipment on the lowbed to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
•    Conduct pre and post operations inspection of the machine to ensure it is in good working condition.
•     Ensure the equipment is kept clean in all its interior and exterior components. Ensure the Machine is refueled in each shift. 
•    Work under the supervision of shift supervisors to maintain site safety standards.
•    Report all defects on the Machine to the maintenance and mine dispatch section.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

•    Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate.
•    Must have a Driver’s license Class CE
•    Must be certified to operate a low bed Truck machine.
•    Minimum 2 years work experience in a similar role in the mining industry.
•    Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and Mine operations.
•    Must be able to pass Psychometric/ Dover Tests and Simulator Tests
•    Should Poses certificates of competence in operating Mining Haul Trucks.
