**POSITION SUMMARY:**
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
This job function directly ☒ indirectly ☐ affects product quality.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES** **:**
+ Operation of CNC machinery
+ Maintain record of work performed
+ Perform assembly, cutting, and grinding
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:**
+ 3-5 years of CNC operation experience
+ Ability to read engineering prints
+ Working knowledge of metals and plastics machining processes.
+ Perform basic arithmetic computations (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
+ Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects.
+ Good organizational skills
+ Ability to work without supervision
+ Knowledge of basic industrial equipment
+ Apply proper safety practices and follow procedures while performing tasks
+ Operate power tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively
+ Basic understanding of machine guarding
+ Must be a self-starter, independent and be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
+ Good written and oral communication skills
+ Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential
+ Follow applicable work instructions
+ Follow established company policies
+ Follow all established health and safety policies
+ Ability to read, write and communicate in English
+ Knowledge of GMP
+ Basic understanding of GF&T
+ Basic ability to operate digital readout systems
**EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School Diploma/GED OR equivalent work experience at the discretion of the Hiring Manager
+ Associates degree preferred
+ Technical certificate for CNC or equivalent experience
**ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Limited temperature fluctuations, air condition environment
+ Primary work function is in the maintenance department
+ Exposure to general manufacturing environment
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:**
+ Individual Contributor
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Must be able to stand/sit for at least 4 hours at a time
+ Have normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp and hold small objects
+ Must be able to climb stairs
+ Must be able to climb ladders
+ Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach with hands and arms several times a shift
+ Possess a normal extended reach
+ Must be able to use all tooling equipment to complete tasks
+ Have the ability to determine color acuity
+ Must be able to transport, lift, and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
