Position Description
Primary Purpose: To operate and maintain the Gas Storage Facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of natural gas during injection and withdrawal operations. This includes monitoring and maintaining equipment, managing gas quality, and supporting facility integrity and performance. Essential duties and responsibilities:
+ Monitor pipeline receipts and deliveries, ensuring alignment with daily gas nominations.
+ Operate and optimize gas compression systems during injection phases.
+ Oversee glycol dehydration systems during withdrawal phases to meet pipeline moisture specifications.
+ Conduct tank gauging, truck loading/unloading (slop oil, water, lubrication), and facility inspections.
+ Perform equipment checks including compressors, motors, pumps, valves, separators, and flare systems.
+ Interface with gas control and scheduling teams to coordinate operations.
+ Maintain accurate logs and documentation of equipment status and operational activities.
+ Respond to abnormal conditions, alarms, and emergency shutdowns per site-specific procedures.
+ Support preventative maintenance and release prevention programs.
+ Participate in development and revision of site-specific procedures and O&M documentation.
+ Uphold safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
+ Execute startup and shutdown procedures for compressors, dehydration units, and associated systems in accordance with site-specific protocols.
+ Operate and monitor instrumentation and control systems including PLC interfaces, pressure transmitters, and automated valves.
+ Monitor and maintain glycol dehydration systems including contactor levels, filters, reboiler temperature, and stripping gas flow.
+ Monitor and respond to safety system alarms including fire/gas detection and pressure relief systems.
+ Operate and maintain open and closed drain systems for safe handling of hydrocarbons, glycol, and saltwater.
+ Respond appropriately to facility-wide emergency shutdowns and follow established protocols for safe recovery and restart.
+ Responsible for housekeeping and general upkeep of the facility and equipment.
+ Respond to after-hours callouts and emergencies as required.
+ Collaborate with customers, vendors, engineering, and management teams.
+ This position may perform other duties as assigned.
+ Job level will commensurate with experience and knowledge.

Position Requirements
Education: •High School Diploma or GED required Experience/specific knowledge:
2+ years in industrial operations preferred (oilfield, refinery, chemical plant, or pipeline). Familiarity with gas compression, dehydration, and storage systems is a plus. Licenses & Certifications:
+ Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
+ Ability to obtain site-specific certifications and complete technical training as required.
+ Must pass drug screening and background check prior to employment.
Skills and competencies:
+ Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, SCADA, PLC interfaces).
+ Strong verbal and written communication.
+ Ability to work independently and within a team.
+ Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
+ Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
+ Willingness to mentor and support team development.
Physical working conditions:
+ Rotating (Days/Nights)-7 days on, 7 days off
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
+ Work in confined spaces and elevated platforms.
+ Exposure to extreme weather and low-lit environments.
+ Must be available for overtime, callouts, and emergency response.
+ Rotating shift schedule required.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Experience with vacuum trucks and disposal wells.
+ Knowledge of salt dome operations and cavern storage systems.
+ Experience with glycol dehydration, compressor systems, and gas metering.
