The City of Blackfoot is located in southeastern Idaho, only 25 minutes from Idaho State University and

POSITION SUMMARY: Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Operator, and general
supervision of the Streets Superintendent, the primary function of an employee in this class is to operate
light to medium equipment to perform skilled maintenance and service work on City streets and rights-of ways.
They will also be responsible for compliance with Federal, State, County, City and other applicable
public health environmental and safety standards. The employee in this position may be required to
perform other job-related duties as assigned. Due to the on-call nature of this position, the working hours
vary and may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Idaho driver’s license, with Class B CDL and air brake endorsement.
Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Demonstrated effective communications, both written and oral.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities
necessary to perform the work.
Sufficient personal mobility, flexibility, stamina, vision and balance to work in an outdoor
environment.
