SummaryThe Seasonal Terminal Operator position exists for the purpose of performing the various operations which occur at a Propane Terminal. Those operations include safety compliance, receipt of products from railcars, oversight of product quality / testing, inventory maintenance, environmental compliance, and loading/unloading of transport trucks. The Terminal Operator is expected to accomplish these operations in a safe and reliable manner.
This facility is operated on a 24/7 year round basis. As a result, there will be some overtime, weekend, and non-daylight work hours associated with this position.
Responsibilities Ensuring compliance of with applicable safety regulationsEnsuring terminal operations comply with environmental permits and regulationsEnsuring strict compliance with propane quality control requirementsMaintenance of terminal equipment for a reliable 24/7 terminal operationDaily inventory balance analysis and reportingExecution of routine terminal maintenance activitiesCommunicating needs for modifications and/or improvements to the terminal facilityTroubleshooting of terminal operating systems (pumps, compressors, valves, load rack automation)Minimum Qualifications (required) 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Pipeline Production OperationsAdditional Qualifications General knowledge of safe handling, operating, and transportation practices associated with propane.Current CETP certification in rail car transfer operations (or ability to obtain)Effective communication skillsDiverse computer skills (word documents, spreadsheets)Experience maintaining and repairing mechanical equipmentA minimum of 2 years experience in the propane industry (preferably propane terminals, liquid pipelines, or refinery operations)Experience operating industrial automation systems (plc, analyzers, instrumentation)Experience operating turbine pumps, control valves, and pressurized tanksExperience maintaining and repairing mechanical equipmentHigh School diploma or GED preferredPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
