Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join a local, nationwide team as an Operations Support Lead. This role is critical in managing the planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical system outages to ensure operational safety, efficiency, and reliability. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various internal teams, external stakeholders, and emergency response personnel to maintain smooth operations and safe communication during planned outages and unforeseen circumstances. Key Responsibilities: + Plan and oversee the scheduling of outages for substation and distribution systems. + Prepare and review procedures, including switching orders, while adhering to safety protocols and industry-standard lockout/tagout (LOTO) processes. + Maintain and distribute accurate records of outage schedules and deliver real-time updates to project stakeholders. + Analyze and interpret technical documentation, including one-line diagrams and schematics, to facilitate safe and effective outage planning. + Act as a liaison and dispatcher when necessary, overseeing field personnel deployment and communication. + Assign and direct work crews to specific locations according to project requirements, operational demands, or customer requests. + Collaborate with distribution and transmission system operators to optimize resource usage and ensure reliable service delivery. + Provide critical system updates to operational teams to support effective and timely response to customer issues or emergencies. + Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a focus on resolution, both in verbal and written formats. + Coordinate with emergency services (e.g., 911 call centers) to ensure efficient communication and mitigate risks during critical situations. + Perform necessary administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, documentation, and reporting. Requirements Qualifications: + Demonstrated experience in electrical systems, system operations, or a related technical field. + Proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams and electrical schematics. + Understanding of safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. + Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail. + Ability to effectively navigate high-pressure situations, such as emergency coordination. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach. + Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. + Familiarity with dispatching work crews and managing shift-based workflow is a plus.
