C.H. Robinson is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team in achieving operational excellence. In this role, you will lead a team of local operations employees responsible for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency throughout the entire process. You will be responsible for daily workflow management, coaching, performance management, team development, mentoring, and problem resolution. This role participates in building and implementing changes that create efficiencies, improve productivity, deliver quality, and achieve desired cost to serve. At C.H. Robinson, we’re firm believers in the power of in-person collaboration to fuel innovation and support training. In this role, you will engage with peers on-site 5 days a week, igniting creativity and driving impactful results. Upon successful completion of your training, you will then switch to 3 days a week in the office, working the rest of the time from home. This role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitor employee performance, delegate tasks, and provide regular coaching to ensure productivity, quality, efficiency, and service objectives are achievedSupport the team’s development by understanding individual needs and creating growth opportunitiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective change management and promote employee adoption of new tools, technology, processes and/or expectationsParticipate in the recruitment, selection, promotion, and alignment of qualified talentSupport the annual merit and equity programs for assigned team to align compensation with performance resultsStreamline daily workflows to achieve quality and efficiency goalsMonitor operational processes to identify opportunities for improvementAct as an escalation point for exceptions and problem resolutionCommunicate and ensure employee understanding of and compliance to policies, procedures, and SOP’sPerform operational task work and/or fill in for peer group when neededQUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 5 years Global Forwarding operations experience, specifically in ocean/air exports.Minimum 1 year of leading or managing teamsPreferred:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsDemonstrated ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external audiencesAbility to understand performance and financial metricsDemonstrate strong decision-making skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills, and ability to prioritize tasks between daily responsibilitiesDemonstrated ability to embrace change and employ a continuous improvement approach to their workValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentWe will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.
Compensation Range
$62,900.00 - $98,000.00The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
