C.H. Robinson is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team in achieving operational excellence. In this role, you will lead a team of local operations employees responsible for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency throughout the entire process. You will be responsible for daily workflow management, coaching, performance management, team development, mentoring, and problem resolution. This role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following: + Monitor employee performance, delegate tasks, and provide regular coaching to ensure productivity, quality, efficiency, and service objectives are achieved + Support the team’s development by understanding individual needs and creating growth opportunities + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective change management and promote employee adoption of new tools, technology, processes and/or expectations + Participate in the recruitment, selection, promotion, and alignment of qualified talent + Support the annual merit and equity programs for assigned team to align compensation with performance results + Streamline daily workflows to achieve quality and efficiency goals + Monitor operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement + Act as an escalation point for exceptions and problem resolution + Communicate and ensure employee understanding of and compliance to policies, procedures, and SOP’s + Perform operational task work and/or fill in for peer group when needed **QUALIFICATIONS** Required: + High School Diploma or GED + Minimum 5 years Global Forwarding operations experience, specifically in ocean/air exports. + Minimum 1 year of leading or managing teams Preferred: + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs + Demonstrated ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment + Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external audiences + Ability to understand performance and financial metrics + Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills, and ability to prioritize tasks between daily responsibilities + Demonstrated ability to embrace change and employ a continuous improvement approach to their work + Values a diverse and inclusive work environment We will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience. **Compensation Range** $62,900.00 - $98,000.00 The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.
