We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Specialist with experience in customer service, logistics, and transportation. This role is responsible for processing shipments and managing all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and capable of handling a fast-paced work environment with professionalism and a strong commitment to customer service.

The Operations Specialist will serve as a key point of contact between customers, carriers, and internal teams. Success in this position requires excellent multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Process shipments and manage daily logistics operations

Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and carriers via phone and email

Create and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs)

Route shipments and coordinate logistics based on client needs

Perform accurate and timely data entry

Maintain and update a shared Excel spreadsheet with shipment information

Respond promptly to customer and vendor inquiries and issues

Support the operations team with administrative and coordination tasks as needed

Ensure timely and effective resolution of shipment-related issues

Provide proactive and high-quality customer service

Qualifications:

Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or related customer service roles

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
