What you'll do:


As an Algorithmic Trading Operations Analyst based in London, you will play a pivotal role within a high-performing operations team that sits at the core of a global trading organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will span from providing essential trade support ensuring accurate reconciliations of cash flows and positions to collaborating closely with both internal technology experts and external market participants. You will have the chance to design robust automated solutions using your programming skills in Python, Go, or SQL, directly improving the efficiency of operational processes. Your analytical mindset will be put to use as you generate insightful reports for risk management and regulatory compliance while also managing complex cash movements across multiple brokers. Provide daily trade support by reconciling cash balances, positions, and trading activity across multiple asset classes. Liaise regularly with external counterparties and exchanges to resolve operational issues efficiently and professionally. Build and maintain automated processes using programming languages such as Go and SQL to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with technology teams to develop new tools and applications that streamline workflows and improve data accuracy. Manage cash and collateral across various brokers and clearing houses to ensure smooth settlement processes. Produce detailed reports covering profit and loss, risk metrics, treasury activities, and regulatory requirements for internal stakeholders. Monitor live risk exposures in real time and escalate any anomalies or concerns promptly to relevant teams. Oversee regulatory reporting processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal obligations. Participate actively in the Operations team's on-call rota to provide timely support for urgent matters outside regular hours. Support onboarding of new exchanges, counterparties, brokers, or products as the business expands into new markets. Gain hands-on exposure to different asset classes throughout the entire trade life cycle through ad hoc trade executions and data analysis.


What you bring:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree (minimum 2:1) in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science provides a solid academic foundation for this technical role. Between two to three years of relevant industry experience ensures you are familiar with financial operations environments. Programming experience in Python or Go is required for automating processes and manipulating large datasets effectively. Proficiency with SQL enables you to build scalable solutions for data analysis within complex systems. Demonstrable knowledge of at least one relevant asset class from a trading operations perspective is preferred for immediate contribution. Strong analytical skills allow you to identify patterns quickly and solve problems efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication abilities help you collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across departments as well as external partners. A disciplined approach combined with motivation ensures you consistently deliver high-quality results even when facing tight deadlines.
