As an Operations Project Manager you will have the opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives to execute product changes across the manufacturing lifecycle, including New Product Introductions (NPI), Engineering Changes (EC), and End of Life (EOL) transitions. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring seamless integration of product changes into operations, driving efficiency, quality, and timely delivery while minimizing disruption to production. The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.
The ideal candidate would be located near one of our Elite Comfort Solutions branches- Conover, NC; Newnan, GA; Aberdeen, MD; Fort Smith, AR; Verona, MS; or Ontario, CA.
So, what will you be doing as an Operations Project Manager?
Project Leadership:
+ Manage end-to-end execution of NPI, EC, and EOL projects within manufacturing operations.
+ Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
+ Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, supply chain, quality, and production teams.
Change Management:
+ Coordinate operational implementation of engineering changes, ensuring proper documentation, validation, and communication.
+ Lead EOL planning and execution, including inventory management, last-time buys, and production ramp-downs.
+ Support product phase-in/phase-out strategies to optimize operational impact.
Operational Readiness:
+ Ensure manufacturing readiness for new products, including tooling, process validation, and training.
+ Drive risk assessments and mitigation plans for all product changes.
+ Monitor and report on project KPIs including cost, schedule, and quality metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Act as the primary point of contact for operations-related product change initiatives.
+ Communicate project status, risks, and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
+ Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution across departments.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
+ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, project management, or product lifecycle management.
+ Proven track record managing complex cross-functional projects in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong understanding of NPI, EC, and EOL processes.
+ Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Things we consider a plus:
+ Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace).
+ Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Agile).
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment wi th multiple priorities.
+ PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
