Operations Productivity Project Manager (Full Time - 12 Month Contract with Benefits) Mississauga, ON

Primary Purpose

Accountable for prepare and execute productivity and operations projects working within a diverse multi-discipline from operations group. Productivity Manager will provide a lead role directing all project phases with the operations and leading projects that requires engineering (basic and detailed), analysis, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning start up for small to large Industrial gas projects and publish results for each project, including the estimation of a yearly basis. This position is responsible for project scope, costs, schedule, safety, and project deliverables as reporting in productivity platforms.

Key Accountabilities

Owner of Productivity targets Projects for MO (Production CES) with CAPEX COST REDUCTION – implementation projects.Foster, coordinate, and implement the Productivity and Cost Reduction Plan throughout the company to establish a culture of continuous improvement and high performance nationwide, through initiatives focused on process improvement, defect reduction, waste elimination, and time reduction.Drive and empower all Six Sigma Lean roles within the company to act as change leaders toward a culture of productivity and process optimization, by applying their defined responsibilities as outlined in the corporation’s Six Sigma HumanResources Guide. This will enable them to lead, direct, and coordinate productivity and cost reduction projects.Promote the identification and recognition of process improvement opportunities that result in productivity projects across Merchant Onsite unit business.Ensure the realization of productivity benefits (annual ABP) and cost reduction (%Cost Stack) targets as defined in the company’s annual business plan.Ensure the promotion of the company’s Six Sigma culture through the development of roles defined by the corporation, by delivering the required Six Sigma and Lean training courses for each role.Ensure timely follow-up on productivity projects so that they are completed within the project cycle timeframe defined by corporate standards. Additionally, guarantee the minimum assignment of at least one project per Plant owner, process engineering or Green Belt.Promote the ongoing enhancement and updating of process improvement and productivity methodologies that support the achievement of business plan objectives.Coordinate with managers and directors to implement and foster a productivity culture, ensuring the continued momentum in identifying opportunities, supporting, and following up on projects. Their active involvement and leadership should serve as a model for others in embracing this culture.Promote and actively encourage the replication of successful projects and best practices throughout all business units of the company, fostering consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization.Overall responsibility of project cycle, budget, and schedule.Provide interface between operations and engineering teamsPrepare detailed project plans and control elements to ensure successful execution of the projectTrack and analyze project against schedule, budget and phase gate reviews, making necessary adjustments to keep projects on schedule and in budgetAnticipate problems and develop recovery plans for off schedule and unanticipated events, all the while managing project riskOversee the preparation of project reports and documentsProvide Mentoring and coaching to Jr team members and provide feedback to the functional manager of record.Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirementsPotential to travel up to 25% of time depending on project requirements
