Operations Production Lead (Houston, TX.)

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

A Production Lead oversees cylinder fill plant operations, ensuring the safe and efficient production of gaseous products. This role involves training, coaching, and mentoring Production Operators across various plant teams.

In particular, you will: 

Directs and coordinates plant activities to maximize production efficiency and meet regional branch cylinder requirements.

Delegates tasks to shift operators.

Ensures compliance with all FDA, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Maintains accurate computer and hand-generated paperwork in accordance with Airgas SOPs.

Reports equipment or facility defects to management.

Stays informed of industry technical developments by reviewing relevant publications.

Accountable for the safety and safety practices of assigned personnel.

Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

Five years of industry-related experience and/or training, with at least two years in a supervisory role.

Valid state driver's license and applicable regulatory licenses for pumping specific products (if required).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Frequent lifting of 25-75 lbs.; occasional lifting of 76-100+ lbs.

Prolonged standing (up to 8 hours), frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion.

Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction in both favorable and unfavorable situations, regardless of status or position.

Ability to accept cultural diversity and establish effective working relationships.
