Operations Procurement Manager
Currently located in Titchfield, Hampshire, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. Our site is undergoing a significant and exciting transformation as we relocate to a newly constructed facility in Daedalus. This state-of-the-art site will serve as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe, marking a new era of innovation and excellence. We pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. We boast extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types **What you’ll do:** This role will lead our site procurement spend across 3 sites of the UK with a team of direct and functional personal to execute a one supply chain approach. You will use your knowledge of tactical procurement systems and process, supplier management, materials management, continuous improvement tools, to lead a group of site-based Supplier Performance Managers, improving supplier delivery and quality. You will be responsible for driving a culture of teamwork and performance that will drive improvement of our critical supply base. In addition, they will coach, mentor, and lead the team of Supplier Performance Managers to successfully execute supplier delivery improvement through the effective guidance of the FMC Ops Procurement Team, efficient resource allocation for projects and reliable reporting to leadership along with assisting to align actions. Also responsible for developing individual team member leadership competencies and driving functional excellence in the management and delivery of high-risk supplier components, leading supplier continuous improvement activities to improve supplier delivery, capability, and supporting supplier risk management activities such as tactical systemic improvements at chronic supplier sites. + Establish and maintain best-in-class processes in alignment with the site procurement procedures and training guides + Develop and maintain supplier performance analysis and reports to enable ops procurement functional leadership to assess the health of suppliers and site procurement effectiveness, taking corrective action as required + Build organizational capability by developing commodity knowledge/procurement process expertise to support effective supplier selection, management, continuous improvement, and problem solving + Monitor overall supplier performance metrics (Past Due, OTD, QA, etc.) and address performance gaps by driving defined tactical strategies in accordance with the Focus Supplier Process or other short-term recovery plans + Work cross-functionally with SCM, Engineering, and Operations to ensure supplier sourcing, launch, and ongoing performance meet defined targets and overall business needs + Drive process for systemic operational procurement improvements at sites and Focus supplier sites through the use of procurement/materials tools + Manage other department and team duties as required, related to reliable on-time site procurement/supplier execution and supplier delivery improvement **Qualifications:** • Bachelors Degree in Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Engineering • 3-5 years’ experience in aerospace industry and Eaton products • 10 years’ experience leading complex multi-functional teams • 10 years of procurement experience **Skills:** • Experience and knowledge of supplier procurement processes • Strong analytical skills • Communication skills– both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports • Organizational and planning skills • Planning and scheduling skills • Extensive experience Aerospace Sourcing & Materials Processes • Ability to see cross functional teams perspective • A balance between strategic thinking/planning skills as well as tactical decisiveness/achieving results. • Ability to build and improve key relationships with suppliers • Ability to assess priorities in a complex and demanding environments • Strong leadership in promoting change to an integrated process environment; demonstrated ability in development of processes. • Travel up to 50% • Ability to work under pressure **What we offer:** + Competitive compensation and benefits package + Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team + Great company benefits including early finish on a Friday + We make your aspirations matter – Eaton encourages internal promotion, whenever possible + We make your growth matter - We invest in our employees for the long term – not just with salary and benefits, but with ongoing learning and development opportunities made available through Eaton University + We make your contributions matter - reliability, safety, efficiency, and sustainability are at the core of our dedication to improving people’s lives and the environment through power management technologies + We make your wellbeing matter – We put your health and safety first.
