Operations Planner
Job Title: Operations PlannerJob Description As an Operations Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining master production schedules and detailed build plans. You will plan and balance capacity across assembly, test, and manufacturing resources, ensuring the efficient release and management of work orders in alignment with demand and material availability. Your role will involve coordinating with the supply chain to ensure the timely availability of electronic and mechanical components, monitoring production progress, and adjusting schedules as needed to address constraints, shortages, or priority changes. Responsibilities + Create and maintain master production schedules and detailed build plans. + Plan and balance capacity across assembly, test, and manufacturing resources. + Release and manage work orders in alignment with demand and material availability. + Coordinate with the supply chain to ensure timely availability of components. + Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed. + Work with engineering to ensure BOM accuracy and manufacturing documentation support. + Support the implementation of engineering changes with minimal production impact. + Track and report operational KPIs such as on-time delivery and capacity utilization. + Identify planning inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience in production or operations planning within a manufacturing environment. + Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems. + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Understanding of electromechanical assembly and production processes. + Experience in high-mix, low-to-mid volume manufacturing. + Familiarity with ISO 9001 or regulated manufacturing environments. + Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. + Advanced proficiency in Excel or production planning tools. Work Environment The role is onsite and involves direct reporting to the CEO and Production Manager. The company is experiencing significant growth, introducing new products, and needs support to grow the business further. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fair Lawn, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
