MAU is hiring an Assistant Operations Manager for our client, Baker Roofing, in Orlando, FL. As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will support daily operations, scheduling, and personnel oversight for commercial roofing projects across Florida. This is a direct-hire

Benefits Package 401(k) and 401(k) matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation, holidays, and PTO Annual bonus Relocation bonus On-the-job training Opportunity for advancement Shift Information Full-time, approximately 50 hours per week Flexible schedule required, including occasional weekends and after-hours availability Required Education and Experience 3+ years of experience in operations, logistics, construction, or scheduling roles Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, logistics, or related field Experience in the roofing or construction industry Prior supervisory or management experience Background in logistics, distribution scheduling, or equipment rental Bilingual in English/Spanish (a plus) General Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within Florida Strong organizational, decision-making, and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional, prompt, and clear communicator Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities Comfortable leading diverse teams and managing client relationships Willing to travel approximately 30% to local job sites across Florida Essential Functions Support day-to-day operations of the commercial roofing business unit, including scheduling, resource allocation, and project coordination Supervise and mentor Construction Managers (2 direct reports with expected team growth) Partner with the Regional VP and Regional Operations Manager to develop processes, set performance goals, and drive department growth (currently $6M in revenue) Maintain strong client communication to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery Monitor active projects and adjust schedules and manpower as needed Promote and enforce safety practices in compliance with company and regulatory standards Provide reporting and updates to leadership on project status, team performance, and operational improvements Assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of field and office staff Travel to project sites across Florida (approximately 30%) Working Conditions Based out of Baker Roofing’s Orlando office Regular travel to job sites throughout Florida Field and office-based role within the commercial roofing industry
