**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Vascular division that provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease. The position will be responsible of manages production activities required for the timely manufacture of Division products that meet quality standards and cost objectives. Accomplishes these objectives by establishing production/planning systems, maintaining GMP, enforcing quality standards, and improving processes. This position manages and delegates authority to Section leaders (if applicable), Production Supervisors, Training, and any other personnel according to the functional area.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Management of staff – recruiting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities for them. Communicates job expectations and plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
+ Establishes production objectives, develops budgets, controls costs, and maximizes use of assets.
+ Assists in the integration of new technology and processes.
+ Coordinates the activities of Production Supervisors to support current and future production systems. Drives continuous improvement initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities, participating in plant-wide CI teams, and conducting and evaluating experiments.
+ Active participation on site wide strategic and tactical activities to support the organization development.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM field
+ 7 years of related experience in manufacturing environment.
+ Must have a track record of managing teams that accomplish objectives on schedule, and within budget.
+ Must be able to demonstrate past continuous improvement accomplishments.
+ Demonstrated proficiency on manufacturing systems used to collect data and control/monitor processes. For example, SFA, SAP, Kronos, or similar.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and quality systems as FDA, MDD.
