The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with company standards. This role provides leadership to operations staff, ensures customer satisfaction, manages resources effectively, and supports the Vice President/General Manager in achieving strategic and operational goals. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in developing high-performing teams, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement within the branch.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring alignment with company objectives and performance standards.• Supervise, coach, and develop operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.• Partner with the VP/GM to implement operational strategies that maximize branch efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and applicable laws.• Oversee scheduling, logistics, fleet/equipment utilization, and dispatching activities to ensure customer commitments are met.• Monitor branch financial performance, including expense control, revenue growth, and budgeting support.• Support sales efforts by collaborating with the sales team to meet customer needs and enhance client relationships.• Drive continuous process improvements, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational excellence.• Prepare operational reports and metrics for review by the VP/GM.• Act as the primary point of contact for escalated customer issues or operational challenges.• And all other duties assigned

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.• 5+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably in an industrial, construction, or service-oriented environment.• Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.• Knowledge of operational processes, safety compliance, and f financial management.• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operational software systems.

 

Work Conditions

• This position operates in both an office and field environment, with routine use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.• Frequent interaction with field employees, customers, and vendors.• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and perform site visits in outdoor or industrial settings.• Travel is required periodically for site visits, training, and company meetings.• Typical work hours are Monday through Friday; however, extended hours or weekend availability may be necessary based on operational needs.
