D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an**_Operations Manager_**for their Operations Department. The right candidate will manage all activities related to operations and development of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Oversee the Purchasing, Estimating, Design and Permitting Departments
* Develop and Division operations to hit all targets for sales, starts and closings.
* Review operations and performance of various aspects of the Division ongoingly. Work with Division President to take corrective action as deemed necessary to achieve goals.
* Foster environment and processes that create repeat customers
* Recognize talent and recruit, retain, and motivate a team across all functions required to run a successful Division.
* Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives
* Train and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations
* Strive to meet or exceed Division Key Results Area standards
* Build strategic relationships and a network of business contacts
* Ensure Division compliance with all company policies and procedures and enforce all established standards
* Work with Division President to provide counsel, guidance and coaching to the management staff in developing their personnel management capabilities and professional skills
* Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
* Able to travel overnight
*Supervisory Responsibilities*
Directly supervises two or more subordinate supervisors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
*Education and/or Experience *
* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required
* Seven (7) to Ten (10) years related experience and/or training at a national homebuilder required
* Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license
* Estimating/budgeting/AS400 spreadsheet skills required
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
* Proficiency with MS Office and email

* Ability to accurately and efficiently process and record large volumes of data
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
*Compensation*
* Annual Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000, depending on qualifications and experience
