Iron Mountain is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and optimize our day-to-day business operations. The Operations Manager will be critical in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our processes, systems, and teams, driving productivity, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. **Job Summary:** The Operations Manager will oversee and manage the full spectrum of operational activities, from process design and implementation to team management and performance monitoring. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence. **Responsibilities:** + Operational Strategy & Planning: + Develop, implement, and review operational strategies and goals in alignment with the company's overall business objectives. + Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost reduction across various operational functions. + Forecast resource needs and allocate them effectively to meet business demands. + **Process Management & Optimization:** + Design, document, and implement efficient operational processes and procedures to enhance productivity and quality. + Continuously analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement (e.g., using Lean, Six Sigma methodologies). + Ensure all operational processes are compliant with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies. + **Team Leadership & Management:** + Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operational professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. + Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs for the team. + Manage staffing levels, recruitment, and onboarding for the operations department. + **Performance Monitoring & Reporting:** + Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. + Prepare and present regular operational performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions. + Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions and drive operational improvements. + **Budget Management:** + Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control. + Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or efficiency. + **Cross-functional Collaboration:** + Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, IT, Product Development) to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration and alignment of operational goals. + Act as a liaison between operational teams and other business units to resolve issues and improve overall business flow. + **Vendor & Stakeholder Management:** + Manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers crucial for operational activities. + Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met. + **Quality Assurance & Compliance:** + Ensure high standards of service delivery and product quality are consistently maintained. + Oversee compliance with all relevant local and national regulations (e.g., labour laws specific to Karnataka/India, industry-specific regulations). **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or Master's degree preferred. + 12+ years of progressive experience in an operations management role, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing complex operational processes. + Demonstrated experience in leading, managing, and developing high-performing teams. + Strong understanding of operational methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile). Certifications in these areas are a plus. + Proficiency in using operational management software, ERP, CRM systems, and business intelligence tools. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. + Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. + Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management. + Familiarity with the business landscape and operational challenges specific to India is highly desirable.
