Description We are looking for a skilled Operations Manager with expertise in transportation and fleet management to join us on a short-term contract basis. This role involves providing training and mentorship to an employee transitioning into a Transportation Manager position. Based in Perris, California, this is a hands-on opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the agriculture industry. Responsibilities: • Deliver focused mentorship and coaching to a team member stepping into a Transportation Manager role. • Provide detailed guidance on industry compliance standards and reporting practices. • Assess current transportation processes and identify areas for improvement. • Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements. • Share best practices in fleet management to enhance operational efficiency. • Conduct gap analysis to pinpoint opportunities for growth and development. • Utilize e-learning modules and CRM tools to support training initiatives. • Collaborate with leadership to align transportation strategies with company goals. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or fleet management. • In-depth understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Proficiency in tools such as CRM systems, e-learning modules, and gap analysis. • Ability to work effectively on-site during scheduled hours. • Demonstrated success in coaching and training team members. • Knowledge of budgeting processes and customer satisfaction strategies. • Familiarity with tools like EXPRESS, Elite, and About Time.
