Are you an operations Manager that has overseen two or more production plants?  Our client, a global industry leader, is seeking an operations Manager to oversee two manufacturing plants outside of Winnipeg.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage plant supervisors, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure all production teams meet targets. Provide coaching and development for plant supervisors and staff. Ensure all operations comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Manage budgets for production operations, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining production quality. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, and cost, using data to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements. Coordinate production schedules, track variances, and forecast future needs. Develop long-term strategies for plant operations in collaboration with senior leadership. Oversee production facilities, inventory control, staffing, and financial performance. Lead daily operations meetings and oversee plant improvements. Manage union relations and participate in contract negotiations. Build relationships with industry officials, city inspectors, suppliers, and customers. Foster a positive workplace culture based on respect and collaboration. The successful candidate has:  8+ years of operations experience in manufacturing. Experience overseeing multiple manufacturing sites, preferably in fast-paced, seasonal, or batch-oriented environments. Strong background in Lean / Six Sigma, with a continuous improvement mindset. Hands-on and people-focused leader who connects well with teams on the floor and builds trust through action. Open, humble, and willing to learn -someone who can absorb internal systems and bring thoughtful improvements. Manufacturing experience in agri-food, horticulture or pharma. Willing to relocate to Manitoba and commit long-term to the organization’s vision. Compensation and Benefits: Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package. 10% bonus on performance. Relocation support will be considered.
