Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated **Critical Facilities Operations & Maintenance Junior Engineer** to join our Iron Mountain Data Centers team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of cutting-edge data center infrastructure by gaining hands-on experience with critical electrical, mechanical, and building management systems. This unique opportunity is designed for a recent graduate eager to learn under the mentorship of industry experts.
**What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)**
In this role, you will:
+ Lead the effective monitoring, operation, and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), generators, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units, to ensure maximum system uptime.
+ Collaborate with experienced technicians and external vendors to execute routine inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance, ensuring the work meets high standards and provides actionable insights for issue prevention.
+ Ensure strict adherence to detailed maintenance operating procedures (MOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to uphold safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for all on-site work.
**What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)**
The ideal candidate will have:
+ A recent Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
+ Strong knowledge of technical documentation and procedures, with a keen attention to detail.
+ Proven ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
+ Some exposure to or interest in mechanical and/or electrical installations, including a basic understanding of system components, wiring, and equipment setup.
