What you will do:Develop a business partnership with the operations team and help drive accountability and attainment of key performance metricsAssist the Finance Operations Manager in development of Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecastsAssist with analysis on capital projects for site operationsAnalyze, interpret, and communicate site financial performance versus budgets and forecastsUse ERP and Hyperion systems to facilitate the daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of financial metricsPerform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysisEnsure compliance with Corporate Accounting Policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

How you will get here:

Education

Bachelor’s degree (finance concentration preferred)

Experience

0-2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Strong analytical skills. Attention to detail and consistently delivering high quality workProficiency in MS Office Applications (Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook), experience using Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAP applications are preferredEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong team building skills, cross functional collaborationSelf-motivated, flexible and strong work ethicContinuous Improvement approach: Identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)Exhibit Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $60,000.00–$90,000.00.
