for power systems.
**We are looking for a Spring 2026 (January – June) OperationsEngineer Co-op as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program withour Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based inHingham, Massachusetts.**
This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with
our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other
entry-level roles upon graduation.
**You’ll make an impact by:**
+ Conduct time and motion studies to quantifycycle times and work content.
+ Identify and eliminate waste (e.g., motion,waiting, over-processing).
+ Detect bottlenecks and assess capacitylimitations.
+ Develop and update Standard Work Instructions(SWIs).
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams tooptimize workstation layout and material flow.
+ Reduce unnecessary operator and materialmovement.
+ Apply Lean methodologies to improve productionefficiency.
+ Create spaghetti diagrams and flow maps tovisualize and improve material movement.
+ Support layout changes and infrastructureplanning with Facilities/Maintenance.
+ Partnerwith Logistics/Material Handling to streamline delivery and storage routes.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Risingjuniors, rising seniors, and master’s students pursuing a bachelor’sdegree in: Industrial SystemsEngineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, MechanicalEngineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management (includingprocurement and logistics), or related majors (must be enrolled as astudent at the time of the internship).
+ Mustbe enrolled as a student at Northeastern University to the time of theco-op
+ Availableto work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4:15pm) from January2026 to June 2026
+ Eligiblecandidates must have reliable transportation and be located within 50miles of Hingham, MA as this role does not provide housing or relocationsupport
+ Legallyauthorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basiswithout company sponsorship
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel,Word, PowerPoint).
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability tocollect, interpret, and present data.
+ Excellent attention to detail and criticalobservation skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience conducting time and motion studies,spaghetti diagrams, or similar process analysis tools.
+ Knowledge of Standard Work Instructions (SWIs)development.
+ Exposure to AutoCAD, Visio, or otherlayout/design software.
+ Experience collaborating with cross-functionalteams (Production, Facilities, Logistics).
+ Understanding of material flow optimization andworkstation layout design.
+ GPA 3.0 or higher.
