Level I

Estimated annual base pay: $64,080.00 (minimum) - $80,100.00 (midpoint) - $96,120.00 (maximum)

Level II

Estimated annual base pay: $75,440.00 (minimum) - $94,300.00 (midpoint) - $113,160.00 (maximum)

If you’re an Operations Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  Operations Engineer reports to Technical Leadership and provides manufacturing expertise to solve difficult problems and continuously improve our manufacturing organization and/or supply base. Provides leadership and direction in manufacturing for programming, processing, tooling or working with development engineering on new hardware.

What You Will Be Doing 

Level I

Supports technical solutionsRecognizes problems that are beyond capabilities and is learning from the experts in the areaSupports new capital equipment purchases and implementationSupports and maintains automation equipment in an assembly environmentSupports cell layouts and process improvement initiativesGeneral understanding of Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processesGeneral understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introductionRepresents the company with our customersSupports updates to management on operations statusLearns the steps involved to incorporate process improvementsSupports the manufacturing floor for any process related questionsCreates and maintains process documentation and updates work order documentationSupports implementation of basic engineering changesAdheres to applicable Quality System requirementsSupports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control PlansLearns from more senior Operations Engineers. May guide/direct Manufacturing Specialists.

Level II

Provides technical solutionsRecognizes problems which are beyond capabilities and is learning from the experts in the areaSupports new capital equipment purchases and implementation with justification documentationWorks with advanced manufacturing team to develop, support and maintain automation equipment in an assembly environmentCreates cell layouts and process improvement initiativesUses basic Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processesUses basic concepts of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and supports new product introductionRepresents the company with our customersSupports updates to management on operations statusParticipates in process improvements on a project levelSupports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions and develops/trains other members in the manufacturing processCreates, maintains and develops new process documentation and updates work order documentationImplements complex engineering changesAdheres to applicable Quality System requirements and supports process auditsInitiates and supports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control PlansLearns from more senior Operations Engineers. May mentor Level 1 Operations Engineers or Operations Specialists.

What We Are Looking For 

Level I

Bachelor's degree in technical/science or International equivalent requiredNo professional experience required. Internship in related industry strongly desiredGeneral understanding of applicable manufacturing processesAbility to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capabilityGeneral understanding and ability to read product drawings

Level II

Bachelor's degree in technical/science or International equivalent required2+ years of professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degreeSix Sigma GreenbeltGeneral understanding of applicable manufacturing processesAbility to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capabilityGeneral understanding and ability to read product drawings
