Role Overview
This job description outlines the requirement for an Operations Data Analyst reporting to the
Head of Reconciliations and MI, Operations Americas.
Role Responsibilities
Collaborate with business units and support services to drive and deliver a variety of projects to improve operational efficiency, controls, and data analytics.
Build and perform data reconciliations through an automated data platform to improve data quality, operational controls, and exception management.
Develop and maintain database queries for management reporting and operational metrics analysis.
Liaise with Risk, IT and external vendors to assist with data extract for KRI/KPI reporting, capacity scorecard analysis and operational data analytics.
Collaborate with line managers to identify the details of their processes and ensure operational policy & procedures are properly documented, reviewed and updated.
Establish relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to gather and disseminate information, form consensus, and secure buy-in for desired objectives.
Enhance risk management reporting structures across the Americas Operations department.
Partner with Operations team leads to document the existing risks and controls in place.
Identify the additional controls needed and plan requirements/development required.
Act as primary point of contact between the Operational function and the Risk function on a day-to-day basis, championing Risk Management in the function and coordinating with the Risk function as required
Co-ordinate and manage risk assessment processes including any required reporting into the central risk system
Experience / Competences
Essential
Extensive knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate
3 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to optimize data extract, data management and scorecard reporting
Experience of delivering analytics solutions to internal and/or external clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving and business analysis skills
Personable with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels
Proactive and highly engaged. Ability to adapt to a range of tasks
Excellent attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree required
Desired
Project management experience, preferably in a management consulting environment
Understanding of Broker Dealer Operations functions and trading life cycle
