EF Educational Tours makes it possible for thousands of North American students every year to see the world and discover new cultures through our professionally guided tours. We are seeking a detail-oriented and entrepreneurial individual with a "nothing is impossible" mindset to join our Operations department in Panama.
This is a full-time, fixed-term coordinator position (internally called trainee/intern) starting between January 15 and February 1, 2026 and ending in July 2026. You are expected to work from the office 5 days a week. This position is based in Panama, but you will be working closely with the Operations team in Zurich, Switzerland. To maximize collaboration, the working hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Panama time, with one hour for lunch.
What You Will Do
As part of EF’s Operations department, you will work with our Tour Success and Specialized Tours teams, ensuring smooth and memorable experiences for our customers—from the planning stages to the on-tour experience, and through post-trip follow-up. Specialized Tours include Customized Tours as well as new and niche programs that cater to specific market segments.
Key responsibilities include: Assisting with group bookings for business partners, museums, activities, and restaurants. Providing EF Tour Directors and customers with information and support during tours. Offering emergency telephone service and on-tour operational support. Handling late tour changes such as last-minute traveller additions or cancellations. Optimizing and coordinating logistics with external vendors, ensuring supplier safety checks are completed. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to enhance our customer experience. Supporting operational tasks required to produce and deliver tours. Requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Solution-oriented, proactive, and flexible mindset. Adaptable and calm under pressure, able to manage competing priorities and high call/email volume with urgency. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Passionate about educational travel and cultural exchange. Quick learner and proven problem solver. Any international experience is an advantage. Fluent in English; any additional European languages are a plus.
