Amentum is seeking a Operations Coordinator to join our team of passionate individuals in Herndon, VA. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.

The Operations Coordinator is a vital member of the Training and Sustainment Division, responsible for supporting day-to-day business functions, coordinating internal processes, and ensuring the smooth execution of administrative and logistical tasks. This role is ideal for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple priorities. A critical function of this role will be to become the cornerstone of information flow and support between the Training and Sustainment Division Programs / Contracts and supporting Functional Teams (HR, TA, Finance, Contract, Sub-contracts, Security and other functionals as required). 

Responsibilities\:

Coordinate and support daily operational activities across Programs to ensure alignment and support with Training and Sustainment Division goals. Maintain schedules, calendars, and logistics for internal and external meetings, travel, and project timelines. Assist in tracking and reporting key operational metrics and performance indicators. Help manage procurement, vendor relationships and subcontractor relationships. Organize and maintain operational documentation, files, and SOPs. Support onboarding processes for new hires and coordinate internal training activities. Serve as a liaison between Programs and Functional Teams to facilitate communication and workflow. Assist with planning and execution of special projects and events. Identify areas for process improvement and provide input to enhance efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations as applicable. Attend various customer meetings such as Monthly Status Report (MSR), Interim Progress Reports (IPR) and other meetings as required.  Ad-hoc tasking in support of Division / Program operations. *

Requirements\:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2 years of experience in an administrative, operations, or project coordination role. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management or ERP tools is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Clearance Required\:

TS with SCI eligibility

Minimum Education\:

Bachelors (BA/BS)

Minimum Years of Experience\:

2-years

Preferred\:

Experience in Program Transition, personnel onboarding, IWA,  Familiarity with budgeting and reporting Experience with tools like SharePoint, TrackVia, WorkDay
