Job Purpose:
Under moderate guidance and direction, this position assists with the identification and implementation of Customer Operations process improvement opportunities to help Customer Operations achieve their long-term strategic goals. In addition, this position is responsible for executing the day-to-day operational support needs of the Customer Operations organization and may lead small to mid-size initiatives across Customer Operations. The Operations Consultant I is required to solve straight forward problems using standard procedures and may be called up on to assist with addressing issues of moderate complexity that require creative solutions. This role may provide informal guidance to colleagues with less experience. This role is responsible for all aspects of retirement plan document preparation and communications.
Job Responsibilities:
Retirement plan document design and document consultingSolid knowledge of IRS, ERISA, DOL and PBGC rules and regulations applicable to 401(k), 401(a), 403(b), Defined Benefit and 457(b) plansExperience drafting plan documents, amendments restatements, forms and communications using vendor-based, web-enabled document systemsProvide technical expertise on Customer Operations functional projects, specifically process and system design and enhancements; may serve as a project lead on small to medium sized initiativesProvide functional expertise for delivery and analysis of Customer Operations metrics and reportingDetermine process improvements and perform process flow design analysis as directed; recommend and assist in the implementation of process enhancementsSupport change management efforts; serve as an information lead regarding process or system design changesResearch retirement plan technical questionsFamiliarity with QDROs, IRS and DOL correction programs, plan mergers, asset transfers and plan terminationsSupport retirement plan Notices and Disclosure preparation and distributionProvide operations support to the Customer Operations organization including:Assist in leading system accessibility and security auditsProvide functional support to facilitate the internal audit review processThe above statement of duties is not intended to be all inclusive and other duties will be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field or equivalent in relevant work experience4-6 years operations experience in the financial services and/or insurance industry2-4 years demonstrated project management experienceASPPA designation or related professional designation preferredProven teamwork and collaboration with diverse groupsProven ability to multitask and manage multiple, complex prioritiesAbility to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbalAbility to understand and ethically navigate the organizational dynamics and company cultureIf you’re ready to help make a difference, apply today. Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $122,300.00
