Job Description
The Operations Associate reviews and processes incoming documentation, ensuring it is complete, accurate, and ready to move to the next stage of the workflow. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a consistent focus on meeting daily quality and productivity expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Review and evaluate incoming documents for accuracy and completeness.Establish application or policy data within internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.Make timely decisions to route work to the appropriate next step based on established procedures.Accurately key data with minimal errors while maintaining required productivity metrics.Follow documented procedures for processing annuity applications and related operational workflows.Communicate proactively with management regarding issues, trends, or process improvement opportunities.Follow up on outstanding information and request missing requirements as needed.Participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.Engage in cross-training opportunities to expand knowledge and support broader team needs.Adapt to new tasks, systems, or workflow changes as business needs evolve.Effectively manage time and work environment to reduce distractions and maintain steady productivity.Essential Skills
At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in financial services or annuities.Proficiency in data entry with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.Experience working with finance or insurance-related documentation and processes.Ability to work independently, stay focused, and meet daily productivity and quality metrics in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and the ability to navigate multiple administrative systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for basic data handling and reporting.Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain processes and escalate issues when appropriate.Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with management and peers.Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks and processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.College degree preferred.Military experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.Familiarity with annuity products and operations is beneficial.Interest in continuous improvement and contributing ideas to enhance processes.Work Environment
This position is based onsite at a corporate office in West Des Moines. Work is performed in a professional office environment using standard business technologies and multiple administrative systems. The schedule is primarily on-site, with potential consideration for a hybrid arrangement such as four days in the office and one day working from home, subject to business decisions and policy. The role involves focused, detail-oriented work where managing distractions and maintaining steady productivity are important.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
