Eventive Sports is the industry leader in dedicated sports event management. Eventive Sports manages major sporting events such as the Regions Tradition, Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix, Magic City Classic, UFL and Gameday operations for the University of Alabama, Auburn University, University of Oklahoma, Rose Bowl and Alabama State University.

Eventive Sports has partnered with the University of Oklahoma to manage their public tailgate operations on the North Oval. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented assistant to support the new public tailgating initiative on the University of Oklahoma campus. Interns will assist with the management and execution of gameday tailgating on the iconic North Oval, helping to deliver a seamless and elevated fan experience.

This is a hands-on, sports event-focused role ideal for students interested in sports management, event operations, or hospitality. Weekend availability (Friday & Saturday) is required for home football gamedays.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties may include, but not be limited to the following:
• Oval public tailgate management
• Interact with tailgaters to ensure positive experience
• Support tailgaters unloading personal tailgate equipment
• Oversight of event staff – access control, emergency response, security
• Operational duties – signage, equipment, etc.
• Collection and analysis of key tailgate metrics
• Work with vendors to ensure quality service is provided
• Observe the fan experience and provide improvement ideas
• Other duties as assigned

Abilities, Skills and Knowledge:
• Self-motivated & team oriented
• Energetic, outgoing personality
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in sports and/or a career in the sports industry
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Willingness to do manual labor & ability to lift 40 pounds
• Willingness to work all 7 University of Oklahoma home games & long hours
Expected Hours:
• Hours are anticipated to be 30 hours per week during home game weeks
• Hours during away game & off weeks will vary
