Job Title: Operations and Maintenance Manager (DOT)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services seeks a qualified Operations & Maintenance Manager (O&M Manager) in Washington, DC.  This position is Metro accessible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Will be required to oversee the completion of preventative maintenance, service calls, read and understand blue prints, inspections, and heavy maintenance repairs. Responsible for work management, production and responsiveness. Direct the work management process to perform the following functions: work reception, prioritization, planning, coordination, scheduling, assignment, tracking, completion, data entry and other administrative actions. Plan, schedule and coordinate completion of service orders, preventative maintenance, and assigned IDIQ work. Ensures that the quality of custodial services meets established guidelines by inspecting the work of custodial personnel and directing corrective measures to be taken when necessary to meet those guidelines. Manage processes for the preventive maintenance and custodial program, including: develop and coordinate the annual work plan; track timely completions; and execute follow-on work as needed. Implement necessary work control procedures to ensure quality and timely completion of all work in accordance with the requirements of the contract. Inspect the performance of the work. Provide technical assistance as needed. Review and approve purchase requests and work orders for proper completion and accuracy. Maintain and track performance metrics. Ensure that CMMS data files are complete and current. Review QC and QAE inspection reports and initiate and oversee corrective actions to eliminate rework. May assist, oversee or manage the purchasing and inventory functions. Comply with, support and promote the safety and environmental programs to eliminate workplace hazards, accidents and injuries. Conduct safety training as scheduled by the safety manager or initiated within the site. Ensure accountability, control and security of all assigned property, material, tools, equipment and vehicles. Ensure a high state of housekeeping, maintenance and security of assigned offices, facilities, shops and vehicles. Establish and maintain enduring and lasting relationships with key customer representatives via daily contact and communication. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Must be experienced in the operation and maintenance of a 24/7 mission critical facility, operating energy management control systems and have HVAC/electrical experience and supervising multi-skilled technicians. Must be experienced interacting with customers.

 

Physical Demands:

Works with systems and equipment in hard to reach places requiring standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing in tight and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up equipment that weighs 20 pounds. Occasionally may lift items up to 50 pounds. Work is performed inside and outside and is usually dirty and greasy. Work requires and abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions. May make repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms.

Compensation Range:   $90,000 - $100,000
