Operations Analyst
Description Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Operations Analyst with some strong technical skills (Excel, general computer etc.) to join a growing team in the Horsham, Pennsylvania area. This role focuses on supporting the administration and compliance of defined contribution retirement plans, including 401(k), profit-sharing, and other plans requiring relevant experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional client service while enhancing their expertise. Responsibilities: • Perform all compliance and administration tasks for defined contribution plans, such as 401(k), profit-sharing, and money purchase pension plans. • Reconcile asset and trust accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Conduct nondiscrimination and compliance testing, including coverage, top-heavy, and 415 limits testing. • Manage employee census data reconciliation and execute contribution and allocation calculations, such as employer matches and profit-sharing. • Prepare valuation and compliance reports for clients. • Complete governmental filings, including Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, and 1099-R. • Address and correct compliance violations through appropriate correction methods and submissions. • Provide support for large plan audits and assist with plan conversions and special projects. • Collaborate with plan sponsors, recordkeepers, and other professionals to ensure the success of client retirement plans. • Offer consulting on plan design options and compliance matters. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. • At least 3 years of experience working with defined benefit or defined contribution plans. • Proficiency in completing Form 5500 and other governmental filings. • Strong knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative work environments.
