HOW AN OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGY (OT) ASSET VISIBILITY AND SECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

In this role, a typical day will include:

Technical contributor that will be implementing USPS cybersecurity strategies protecting the digital network, connected assets, hosted applications and data, and employees within the Operational Technology (OT) environment supporting critical USPS mail and package handling systemsCandidates must have strong demonstrated experience in large enterprise IT environment

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, preferred but not required.NOTE: If resources do not have a relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

Required Experience:

8+ years of OT security experience and application of asset visibility solutions towards OT hardware and software asset management security efforts supporting both OT operations and security efforts including network access control, USB attached device control, file integrity monitoring, vulnerability management, and security event investigation supportStrong demonstrated experience in large enterprise OT environmentTechnical knowledge, experience, and certifications with relevant tools such as Forescout, Armis CentrixSplunk use and knowledge object developmentWindows and Linux system administrationDatabase design and implementation.Candidates would benefit from having relevant technical certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH)Strong oral and written communication skillsAbility to prepare and interpret flowchartsAbility to build & maintain schedules and step-by-step action plansStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders.

Security Clearance Level:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprintingThis position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
