Role Overview:
The Client Function is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to support TP ICAP business divisions and the client relationship. It spans all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop and operate the processes and controls that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.
Under the direction of the Head of Operational Data, work as part of TP ICAP’s Static/Reference Data Team, which is responsible for maintaining all customer data (financial/non-financial). The 9-month contract Associate has full ownership of data maintenance, as well as the troubleshooting and resolution of problems and transactions. The Associate will be part of the Static/Reference Data Team but must be able to work independently on all tasks on a hybrid schedule.
Role Responsibilities:
Maintain the firm’s books and records • Support various stakeholders within the business for account opening, modification, maintenance and closure • Set up and keep current all information pertaining to customer accounts (but not exclusive to) billing/invoicing, confirmations, brokers, traders, brokerage rates, etc.
Research and resolve trade kick outs and other issues related to customer data set-up, which can create settlement fails and impact P&L to the desk if not corrected in a timely manner
Create/maintain policies and procedures for functions within the group
Provide weekend/off hours support, as needed, for testing new business functionalities
Experience / Competencies:
Essential
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel (formulas, macros, etc.)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to operate and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail, especially under pressure
Strong analytical abilities
Must be well organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to follow and comprehend instructions; asking questions when necessary and escalating issues accordingly and with minimum supervision
Ability to deliver on deadlines and provide updates to the manager throughout the process • Strong risk and controls awareness
Motivated with a strong desire to learn and perform
Highly responsive and client-orientated with strong commitment to client service
Ability to learn and navigate numerous internal systems and applications
Desired
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2-5 years’ experience in financial services
Familiarity of New Accounts environment (Legal Entity Names, Corporate Hierarchies; Foreign & Domestic Settlement Instructions, Account Classifications, etc.)
Financial products proficiency
High project management skill level
Knowledge of trade flows (execution, allocation, confirmation, clearance)
Series 99 preferred or required within six months of employment
