You will analyse incidents across the organisation, drive swift resolutions, and facilitate the sharing of lessons learned to continuously improve processes. Your responsibilities also include analysing and following up on existing and emerging operational issues through targeted projects or reviews, developing extreme loss event scenarios in collaboration with business experts for Operational Risk Capital calculations, and responding to requests from stakeholders such as regulators, auditors and senior management. You will provide thought leadership and practical advice to businesses on operational risk management, fostering a culture of risk awareness through education and guidance. You will review new business initiatives to ensure key operational risks are identified, managed, and relevant stakeholders are actively engaged throughout the approval process. Tertiary degree in Finance or a related discipline, with relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications an advantage 5 years’ experience in Risk Management, Operational Risk or Audit, ideally within an international financial institution or professional services firm Strong analytical and lateral thinking abilities, with proven problem-solving and consulting skills Adept at interpreting complex situations and balancing commercial considerations within a risk framework Solid understanding of the regulatory environment relevant to Macquarie’s operations Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and gain trust and buy-in from management Resilient and adaptable, with a track record of maintaining a high performance within a fast-paced, results-driven environment Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
