Are you ready to leverage your expertise in psychology and behavioral science to develop innovative solutions to some of the United States’ most complex national security challenges? Imagine yourself conducting research, providing analysis, and delivering technical products to give the US government and its partners an advantage over near-peer competitors. Parsons is a hiring an operational psychologist to work closely with our client in Honolulu, HI. Candidates can be located work at Ft. Belvoir VA or Ft Shafter Honolulu Hawaii.

Part-time or Full-time opportunity.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Use psychology subject matter expertise to conduct in-depth behavioral analysis through an array of social science toolsEmploy a range of techniques to answer customer requests for information (RFIs) through the lens of behavioral sciencesConduct advance target research and development from complex datasets to enhance the customer’s mission; inform targeting cycles and operational requirementsSupport development of new initiatives with respect to collection and analysis, including but not limited to information operations campaigns, data science, and empirically-based person tradecraft and trainingLeverage other data sources, including traditional intelligence sources, to enhance behavioral analysisAbility to conduct CONUS travel, as required by mission partner (approx. 5%)

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

6+ years’ relevant experience with a Master’s or 10+ years’ relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)Prior experience applying psychological constructs and methodologies to DoD / USG mission requirementsKnowledge of behavioral and personality assessmentsDemonstrated critical thinking and writing skills, including the ability to respond to quick-turn RFIs with limited editorial supportExperience with the development and execution of projects related to operations or in influence psychologyFamiliarity with the intelligence community and prior experience working in multi-disciplinary teamsExperience with performing individual and group target analysis as well as digital attributes to identify unique patternsValid US PassportActive DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility required 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of Information Operations and the integration of information-related capabilities. (PSYOPS, MILDEC, e.g.).Prior experience working in cross-functional teams across multiple locationsPrior experience supporting hard target activitiesPrior experience in INDOPACOMSupport to Special Operations Forces, INDOPACOM HQ and/or its service componentsKnowledge of political, military, economic, academic, transnational criminal, information / media, and cultural aspects of malign influenceFamiliarity with Eastern cultural norms and behaviorsDemonstrated communications skills, including the ability to brief leadership up to and including the SES/GO-FO levels

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $144,800.00 - $260,600.00
