Job Summary: 

The Operational Excellence Leader, ISC Americas is a strategically pivotal role responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation across the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) in the Americas. This leader shapes and executes a multi-year strategy that advances operational excellence, builds long-term capability, and aligns the region’s performance trajectory with Trane Technologies’ global business vision.

Acting as a senior strategic partner to ISC and business leadership, this role influences decision-making, guides the long-term operational roadmap, and plays a central part in transforming our culture, maturing our lean business operating system (BOS), for sustained competitive advantage.  Included in this role is the oversight and continued development of all manufacturing facilities and distribution centers within the Americas region.

What you will do: 

Architect and lead a multi-year transformation strategy that accelerates operational excellence maturity and aligns with enterprise objectives for growth, sustainability, customer satisfaction, and productivity.

Partner with executive leadership to define strategic priorities and ensure alignment on transformational initiatives across functions.

Lead the design and deployment of an integrated operational excellence roadmap across all manufacturing sites and distribution centers, ensuring scalable practices, continuity, and alignment with enterprise goals.

Drive high-impact initiatives that strengthen operational performance, reduce risk, enhance customer experience, and deliver measurable financial and strategic outcomes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other advanced problem-solving methodologies.

Develop and execute a long-term capability-building strategy for leaders and teams, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and strategic thinking across the ISC organization.

Strengthen continuous improvement culture through engagement and empowerment.

Engage customers, suppliers, and external partners to enhance end‑to‑end performance.

Champion the adoption and utilization of digital tools, analytics platforms, and enterprise systems that enhance operational performance.

Managing in a lean environment by Coaching and developing a range of senior leaders and value stream stakeholders, from front-line operations leaders, plant managers, process owners and SBU/Functional leadership in the thinking, methods, and tools required to achieve Premier Performance. Premiere Performance means leading with our Business Operating System to create breakthrough results in Safety, Delivery, Quality, Inventory, and Productivity while increasing Employee Engagement.

 

What you will bring: 

Minimum of 15 years of documented world class lean manufacturing experience. 

Plant management or significant operations leadership experience required.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies; formal certification preferred.

Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership, drive strategic alignment, and cultivate a continuous improvement culture.

Exceptional strategic planning, change leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience developing multi-year strategies and roadmaps aligned to business and operational priorities.

Proven success leading large‑scale improvement programs and driving measurable results.

Demonstrated talent development and succession planning experience.

Ability to travel 25–50% to support multi‑site operations.

 

Base Pay Range: $185,000- $235,000. Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
