DESCRIPTION:
As an Operational Excellence Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll be a key partner to help advance our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive support across operations and PPI, assisting with organizational development and data-driven decision making. You'll collaborate with managers and leaders to implement initiatives that enhance performance, engagement and retention while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This position offers the opportunity to make meaningful contributions through coaching, problem-solving, and implementing positive changes in support of business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Communicates effectively at all levels of the organizationPartners with operations team leads, managers, and director to identify data needs and trendingConsistently applies attendance policy, tracking occurrences in Workday, and issuing corrective action documentation to be presented by team leads.Provides sound counsel and mentorship in leadership basics, having difficult conversations, performance management, and corrective actionsEffectively manages and tracks headcount to mitigate capacity leakage.Aligns headcount tracking with Workday recordsFacilitates data collection and assists leaders in making data driven decisionsUpdates capacity modelTracks applicable recognition and rewardsRecords operations staff meeting minutes and tracks actionsPartners with site administrative assistant on engagement activities (i.e. Belonging Week)Documents periodic colleague performance calibrationsSupports effective onboarding of new FTE and CW colleaguesPartners with HR team on major initiatives (e.g. EIS, Open Enrollment, BRG’s)Performs other duties as assignedRequirements:
Advanced degree plus 3 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of human resources or leadership experience in a matrix organization. A combination of experience and education may be considered.Preferred Fields of Study: Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldStrong knowledge of employment regulations and leadership best practicesDemonstrated experience in performance managementExcellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven decision makingExperience with organizational change management and process improvementProven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsProject management experience and ability to manage multiple prioritiesBusiness acumen with strategic mindset and consultative approachExperience in manufacturing, healthcare or life sciences industry preferred
