Are you ready to make an impact in the healthcare sector by driving operational excellence and enhancing laboratory efficiency? We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Laboratory Transformation Team and Technical Services in a dynamic field-based role.
The Opportunity
As an Operational Effectiveness Consultant, you’ll combine home office work with regular customer site visits, field team meetings, and visits to our UK head office. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer engagement and driving transformation through innovative solutions for laboratory optimization.
Drive operational excellence for laboratory customers through process optimization, lean transformation, benchmarking, and equipment efficiency.Support the implementation of optimized lab processes on-site.Coach and inspire customers to adopt Roche’s innovative portfolio and mindset.Laboratory Workflow Analysis: Assist Consultants in analyzing workflows (people, samples, and data) during audits and tenders to develop optimized laboratory concepts.Productivity Improvements: Deliver instrumentation optimization reports using advanced simulations to improve lab efficiency.Implementation Support: Support Consultants in guiding laboratory staff and management through transformation processes.Project Representation: Represent customer projects during tender sales cycles and throughout life cycle management.Who You AreEssential Skills & Experience:
A degree or equivalent qualification in biomedical science, healthcare, commercial, technical, or economics.Experience in the healthcare sector with a solid understanding of pathology practices, including automated laboratory systems and associated data management.Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and consulting skills.A passion for exceptional customer service, combined with determination and flexibility when addressing challenges.Technical Expertise:
Familiarity with Roche products and instrumentation, particularly Centralized Solutions (pre-analytics, analytics, post-analytics).Knowledge of laboratory IT solutions and process mapping.Analytical thinking and proficiency with consultancy tools/methodologies in clinical pathology.Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.Desirable Skills (Preferred but Not Essential):
Knowledge of Roche automated solutions and IT products.Proficiency in advanced IT tools (e.g., workflow models, Excel, Visio, RFPIO).Commercial awareness, particularly within tender sales cycles.Understanding of healthcare economics and its value within diagnostics.Who we areA healthier future drives us to innovate.
