**Description and Requirements**
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN)
Configure and install network hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers)
Monitor network performance and integrity
Troubleshoot network issues and outages
Ensure network security and connectivity
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
Collaborate with network architects on network optimization
Document network configurations and operational procedures
Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT team members
Conduct network performance tuning and capacity planning.
Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and drills.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching
Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security
Familiarity with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds)
Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation
Understanding of SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
